Ep. 262 | Ninth Beatle Bracket (Windy City Edition!)
Everybody clap your hands, the UBP is Happy Just To Big Dance With You! That’s right: it’s March Fabness once again, and that means it’s time to crown the official, legally-Calderstone-sanctioned 9th Beatle Bracket, A Ron Howard Motion Picture.
This year’s Beatle Bracket, much like the origins of the Fab 5, begins and ends in Chicago! From the Beatles BBC sessions recorded during the WLS Barn Dance, to the infamous rooftop concert atop Second City’s Pipers Alley parking lot, Chicago was the home of every significant Beatles event. Few will forget John’s touching tribute to his favorite retail emporium as a young tough, “Strawberry Marshall Fields Forever”.
And much as Eleanor Rigby darned her White Sox in the night while there was nobody there (“there” being a May day game at Comiskey against the Royals - NOBODY CAME), Tony, T.J. and Producer Casey face some Malort-worthy matchups, featuring 312-flavored Beatlefigures everyone absolutely knows.
And while you are only waiting for this one shining moment to arise, the boys must first settle some other business on the hardwood/hard would, such as:
☘ Did Howlin’ Frank Ifield invent Chicago blues?
🕶 Why in the fresh hell did late 80’s, Rose Records offshoot The Entertainment Outlet, always have so many $.49 cut-out cassette copies of Stevie Wonder’s “In Square Circle”?
💎🧻 (Angry Chicago Guy. He smells like a Jewel bathroom. Because there’s no cameras in there.) AIN’T NO BEATLES WITHOUT JANET DAVIES AND MARK GIANGRECO PROVE ME WRONG?

Ep. 211 | Eighth Beatle Bracket! (Part 2)
March may be officially in the rearview, but its Madness sticks around for one more week! Join T.J., Tony, and Producer Casey as they Duke it out over their Eighth Beatle Brackets, and maybe also inadvertently disseminate dubious biographical details.
We’re just asking questions here. Like:
🏀🍆 Did Jimmie Nicol "Delonte West" John’s Aunt Mimi?
📡🍆 Can any of us ever truly know whether “Radar Love” was written about Patti Boyd?
🇺🇸🍆 Where was Cilla Black on J6?
WE’RE 👏 JUST 👏 ASKING 👏 QUESTIONS 👏 HERE 👏
And who will be crowned the Untitled Beatles Podcast’s official Eighth Beatle? Could this finally be Ringo’s year? Probably not, but you’re a mere 53 minutes away from knowing for sure; 35 minutes and 20 seconds for you monsters who listen at 1.5x speed.

Ep. 210 | Eighth Beatle Bracket!
It’s March Madness! Can you feel the excitement, between bouts of despair from our rapid descent into a fascist state? And did anyone else pick Fascist State to beat Attica State in the Hate Eight?
The UBP takes March Madness more seriously than Americans take hating Duke. (David. F**k him!) Because at the UBP, we have two jobs: being the podcast of academic record for serious Beatle (and bible) study, and creating a tournament bracket destined to cement Dick Biondi’s legacy as a Top 10 figure in Beatles history! So play along with us as Tony, T.J., and Casey crown this year’s champion, the iron-clad, Apple/Calderstone-endorsed, OFFICIAL Eighth Beatle. Who will win it all this year? As John & Yoko once said, “Listen To This Podcast”!

Ep. 168 | Seventh Beatle Bracket
Glass Onions, baby! It's the UBP's third annual (note the TWO "n"'s and a "u", you grotty kids) Beatles March Madness! This week, we begin the Journey (#whenthelightsgodowninthecitay) to naming the official, Apple/Calderstone/Odeon/Ring'o Records 7th Beatle!
This year, for what feels like the very first time, the field is all musicians; and Tony, T.J., and our very own Tim Donaghy, Producer Casey, have some tough life decisions to make! Among them:
🎸 Is Beatlemania's Tom Teeley straight up more important to The Beatles than Linda, George, and original/best (of the) Beatles drummer Jimmie Nicol, combined?
🎸 Did Beatlemania's Tom Teeley invent the music video? Or just the now-wildly popular subset of music videos featuring extended tripping-on-bodega-fruit takes?
🎸 I just bet $20k on FanDuel that Beatlemania's Tom Teeley is gonna f'ing win this thing. I'll kill you bozos if I lose, do you f'ing hear me? And no, overly accessible legal gambling is definitely not f'ing up sports! Also, I'm sweating profusely. From the cocaine.
Life's too short! So you'd better back off, because it's Beatles March Madness! Stay tuned next for your late local news. Then, don't miss Martin Mull in the hilarious, new, can't miss, 1984 comedy, "Domestic Life". Only on (this is) CBS!
