Ep. 146 | Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band Live in Chicago
It’s already October, and it’s been quite the merry goo year for The Untitled Beatles Podcast. In August, we recorded live at Beatlefest! And last week, we took a field trip to see Ringo Starr and His All Star Hamms (TM) at the beautiful, historic Chicago Theater; a Chicago landmark owned and operated by Madison Square Garden, just a few blocks from longtime classic Chicago store, Macy’s! (Damn you, NYC…)
Tony and T.J. got to grace an actual Beatle with their presence - together, as a duo - for the very first time, And this week’s episode captures the all the rawdio as the guys pre-game to the rockin’ sounds of Chicago Bears legend Dick Butkus’ death, demand obscure requests from the All Starr Band, and deep dish the entire concert; something TONY ABSOLUTELY WANTED TO DO!
Along the way, they simply must ask:
🐷 Is Warren Ham aware that, per Fox “News”, there’s a War on Ham?
🚽 Is the studio version of “Rosanna” better than the live version because it’s tighter, or because it actually f’ing ends?
🧸(Sad Chicago Guy:) IF THESE TWO CHUCKLEHEADS SITTING BEHIND ME DON'T STOP SHOUTING "PRIVATE PROPERTY" BETWEEN EACH SONG SO HELP ME BUTKUS I WILL SEND THEIR ASSES HOME TO KENOSHA IN GREEN AND GOLD FULL-BODY CASTS.

What happens in Vegas… sometimes gets leaked back to your partner in your podcast feed. This week, T.J. and Tony PRODUCER CASEY trek out to the desert to take in a Wednesday evening performance of The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil. It's a Tony & T.J. Marshall Field trip to the cinema, as they bravely brave a warm, late-fall Chicago day to see Tyler Perry's Mary McCartney presents, "If These Walls Could Sing".

At long last (and maybe against the terms of their parole?) the guys take the show across state lines as they hit the highway on their pilgrimage to see "The Beatles: Get Back to Let it Be" at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Tony made the mistake of letting T.J. map the trip, so there might've been a couple detours to various record stores involved.

Since 1974, Beatlefest aka The Fest For Beatle Fans has been a safe space for Beatle nerds, kooks and sniffers to gather, celebrate and inhale everything fab. On this magically mysterious tour, Tony spends two days reporting to T.J. from the 2022 festival in Chicago. This is a new phase Untitled Beatles Podcast...essential to the content of seeing the film, Get Back in IMAX was that Tony & T.J. each recorded their experiences driving to the theater; in comes the warmth and general nonsense of discussing the film together in a live bar performance, as reproduced for mp4 by Producer Casey.
