Ep. 172 | Favourite Beatle Musical Moments
It’s not so easy to pick favorites, is it? Whether foods, books, music, kids, or wives, picking your favorites can be a real pain in the rear end; which is a more socially acceptable way of saying “dumper”.
But(t) what about fave Beatles moments? Doesn’t every Beatles song (*except “From Me To You”) have indelible, life-changing, favorite moments? So how can any mere mortal pick their favorite Beatles moments without the strict, Maharishi-like guidance of Tony & T.J.? Well thanks to a great suggestion from loyal listener Glen K, this week the Gab Two pick some of the favorite moments in a career filled with the best songs in rock history (*except “From Me To You”, which is a fine song, but not when compared with “Please Please Me”. YA FEEL ME, BEATLES 1?)
In this episode, Tony & T.J. are overflo-ing (#Progressive #PollyHolliday) with both favorite and precious moments, among them:
🎸 Joe Val and Steve Satriani are the best rock guitar pickers not named Pink Floyd. Fight me? #WFUK-FM #Appleton
🐔 Does the Skokie, IL Browns Chicken (AND PASTA) accept gift cards from the Mandaluyong, Metro Manila Kenny Rogers Roasters?
🚫💵 (Angry Chicago Guy:) HOW COME THE MUSICAL “PIPPEN” AIN’T GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHICAGO BULLS? AND HOW COME RAP LEGEND BIG DADDY KAINE SANG “PIPPEN AIN’T EASY?”

Ep. 171 | (Not So) Fab Greed
For us UBPeedles who also dig old school rap, it's clear that the Fat Boys cover of "Baby, You're A Rich Man" absolutely betters the Beatles' far less trilly/rappy original.
And some four decades since the Disorderlies soundtrack shocked the world, the Fat Boys have never been more relevant, en vogue, or even En Vogue.
Never gonna get it, never gonna get it (this reference)? Here goes: baby, you'd better be a rich them to afford Beatles-related reissues these days! A "Mind Games" cube for $1,700? WTF?!?! Only (rich) people, indeed...
Tony and T.J. delve into the shamefully burgeoning world of Fab Greed, the debut of Lennon/McCartney 2.0, and also:
🐏 Is buying a Billy Budapest Belt Buckle beyond Beatle believability?
🍁 Can "Primrose Hill" replace "Solsbury Hill" as the go-to music used in previews for autumn-based romantic comedies? (Angry Chicago Guy: AND HOW COME WAGS IS TOO WOKE TO SERVE SALISBURY STEAK NO MORE??)
😵 Does P3Z-Nutz know a little too much about T.J.'s mom? Uh-oh! AI stalker-of-dead-parents alert! #NotAGame #Practice

Ep. 170 | Ringo Starr’s “Crooked Boy” EP (2024)
If it’s Saturday, it means one thing: Ringo has another new EP! Nobody other than Ringo has released more music in such a short amount of time - LOOKING AT YOU, TAYLOR* (*Fred Taylor, longtime Jaguars running back.)
The masses want to know: is Ringo’s “Crooked Boy” the biggest musical release of 2024? As Macca might opine, Who Cares what the idiots say! Any Ringo album is a gift to us all, right? RIGHT? In this episodic journey - which also begins to touch on the recent, disturbing silver streak of greed in Beatles reissues - we discuss the newest Ringo record, arguably his finest EP since whatever the hell the last one was called, and also get into these hot button hot topics:
🍕🛖 Is the Pizza Hut in Normal Illinois best known for its personal pan pizza, or for Rich Hall’s infamous 1987 visit?
💩🏄 Is Ringo a Butthole Surfer, or merely one of the two?
📻 Is Linda Perry’s “What’s Goin’ On” way better than Marvin Gaye’s long-forgotten, critically derided, socially irrelevant version? (Angrier than usual Chicago guy:) AND HOW COME WGN AM-720 STOPPED USING BOTH OF THOSE SONGS, FEAT. DEAN RICHARDS, AS PROMO BUMPERS? AND WHY DID MILT ROSENBERG HAVE TO DIE?

Ep. 129.1 | The Beatles’ (Fantasy) Summer LP
[Originally released July 22, 2023]
Rumour has it, if you mash up The Beach Boys' "Endless Summer" compilation with the Grease showstopper "Summer Nights", you get 137th Beatle Richard Marx's classic cassingle, "Endless Summer Nights" (🚫) "Right Here Waiting" (🛎).
But…what if you get crazy and accidentally add John & Yoko's "Double Fantasy"? MAYBE NOBODY KNOWS? (#MccartneyII #McCartneyEyeEye)
Good thing Tony and TJ, 98.9's Hot FM midday summer jamz expertz, know about Summer, The Beatles, and fantasies, dear mister! And the #TanTwo have generously assembled their own fantasy summer Beatles compilations to cure your summertime blues! So don't raise a fuss and don't raise a holler, Wisk helps get rid of ring around the collar! And:
🦭 Do Arctic-adjacent kids who love art projects listen to a lot of Seals and Crafts? And was that really worth it?
🪖 So, turns out Tony's a WW-Eye expert, huh?
🍦 If Mike Love was flavor of ice cream, would he still be a d**k?

Ep. 169 | INSTANT REACTIONS: "Let It Be" Restored and Re-Released (1970 / 2024)
As Apple (and Etta James) promised, "At Last"; the original cut of "Let It Be" is available! Only streaming, no LaserDisc, you wackers Radio Shackers.
Speaking of LASIK, Apple's marketing team would have you believe the last time this film was seen was "54 years ago today". #WhenIm64Minus12Plus2
In reality, the last time this core, historically vital film was available was in 1981, but it struggled to compete with season 2 of "Bosom Buddies" and quickly fell out of print.
Tony and T.J., who played John and Paul in VH1's "Two Of Us", instantly react to the greatest this film has ever looked or sounded, and also, dig these ponies:
🦠 Does “Microbes”, from a forgotten/bad George album we all obligatorily own, make more sense on $40 Zoetrope vinyl?
💊 When Mal Evans plays the anvil, does George Martin take some Advil?
👮♂️👮♂️(Our sad, drunk Chicago friend, at the bar. It's 11:05 am in Bridgeport) "How come woke Michael Lindsey Boss Hogg didn't make the Beatles play the Benny Hill theme when the cops came in? And why don't Hawk Harrelson do games no more on SportsChannel?"

Ep. 168 | Macca Snacks #2 / Paul McCartney’s The 7” Singles Box (2022)
Having a Macca Snack Attack (TM, pending)? We are too! Or, at least we did in late-2022, when Tony & T.J. rocked out to then-recently reissued and remastered Macca 45's.
Come join for part two of this long-running, daytime/nighttime Macca singles (only!) party, and stay for the painstaking play-by-play of the unique, heretofore unexplained, debut-and/or-mistake mistake mix of the “Only Love Remains” 7” single remaster. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS? ARE YOU LISTENING, M.P.L.?? ALL FREAKING CAPS!!

Ep. 1.1 | Let It Be 50th Anniversary
We're all going Michael Lindsay-Hogg wild for next week's "Let It Be" documentary re-release. So let's set the mood, and get back to OUR VERY FIRST EPISODE. No MAL technology to clean the audio, no overproduced, Dumb & Schticky audio drops (you're welcome again, SpongeBobbyHil589).
Just a couple guys gabbin' fab about the Fab Four exactly as you've always loved them: naked.
-----
[Originally released May 29, 2020]
It's the first episode of the Untitled Beatles Podcast, recorded before "Untitled" was decided as the title. On its 50th anniversary, TJ and Tony explore Let It Be - TJ's favorite Beatle album and Tony's second-least(?) favorite. Enjoy the long and rambling road.

Ep. 171 | T.J. Shanoff (1974) 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition
It’s T.J.’s birthday! It’s T.J.’s birthday! And we would like to give him all of the cassettes!
The celebrated 4th member of the UBP (a. Tony, b. Casey, c. P3Z-Nutz) celebrates 46 years of Beatles love and weirdo-sniffer-collecting on the occasion of his 50th birthday! From meeting Paul McCartney to a crisis of what Apple ’92 closeout cassettes to buy in ’96, T.J. and Tony discuss some of the birthday boy’s favorite Beatles memories in a lifetime of loving the music and unmatched excellence of the Fab 4.
But a special birthday episode can’t derail the usual chicanery, and lots of rando preguntas are asked, including:
🐝 Is “My Girl” by The Turtles more or less of a soul classic than the one by The Temptations? And can a bee sting really f you up, like kill you? #MyGirl
🐚 Holy s**t, Peter Noone is still alive? Do you think Kathy Bartlett knows? Holy s**t, is Kathy Bartlett still alive?
🥁 Was the absolute highlight of Record Store Day 2024 Ringo’s “Crooked Boy” EP? Or are only the criminally insane interested in this item?

Ep. 170 | Now and Then (2023) Revisited
Now and then, do you ever want to hear, "Now And Then"? Or is your "Real Love" reserved for "Free As A Bird"?
Believe it or not: a) I'm walking on air, never thought I could feel so freeeee!, and II) "Now And Then" is already 5 months old. Wtf? Where has the time gone? And more importantly, where have all the cowboys gone? #ShawnColvin (sfx: buzzer) #PaulaCole (sfx: ding)
Now felt like the right time to revisit the "Last Beatles Song" (TM, until we get "Carnival Of Light"). Is it great? Rubbish? Somewhere in the middle, Patricia Heaton? And while we're on the subject-ish:
🦅 Generally, from a laundry perspective, does Tony prefer to kick 'em when they're up, or kick 'em when they're down?
🐂 (Angry Chicago guy:) How come they don't play the Dave Clark Five no more during timeouts at Bulls games? SAME GOES FOR THE BUCKINGHAMS, SON!
🍆 (Happy Chicago guy:) I ain't religious but thank you, Lorde for Arne Harris in the summertime!

Ep. 39.2 | SPECIAL REPLAY: The Beatles’ Second Album (1964)
The guys are on Spring Break this week, so we handed the reins over to P3Z-Nutz for another Untitled Beatles Podclassic!
-----
[Originally released February 5, 2021]
The gang continues its exploration of the early U.S. Capitol Records releases, this week covering the covers-heavy Beatles' Second Album.
Tony owns up to his early underestimation of this classic,
T.J. goes to bat for his official Fifth Beatle,
Bryan Adams brings his piano to your mom's porch,
And we think we've maybe stumbled upon the next great (grown-ups only) classic rock radio format, just in case this whole podcast thing doesn't pan out.
Apologies in advance to the City of Sacramento, and those who are sensitive to explicit language.
