Ep. 135 | The Beatles as Sidemen
If thereās one thing we know about our beloved Fabs, itās that they all liked to get a little on the side. Know what weāre sayinā, guy/lady/however you identify, any of which is cool with us? Well get yer minds out of the gutter! Because in this episode we take a look at some of our very favorite moments with The Beatles as Sidemen, and their notable appearances on other peopleās records. Some collabs (hawt pic, DM us!) make perfect sense, while some are completely random and hilarious. And, If youāre Basketball Howard Jonesinā for more, donāt try to live your life in one day! We do find the time to wonder:
š¹ Hey HamHeads, match each Schuyler Sister (Eliza, Angelica, and Peggy) with a UBP mainstay (P3Z-Nutz, Dave Dexter, Jimmie Nicol). Bonus points for being in the greatest city in the world: SHEBOYGAN, BABY! #WerkWerk
šŗšøš³ Is it true that in the 1990ās, you werenāt legally allowed to be in a room with Macca if you used an American Express? (Angry Chicago Guy: AND HOW COME DINERS CLUB DONāT SPONSOR NO BANGLADESH?)
šCan you really call yourself a Beatles fan if you donāt know what record label Belinda/Brandi Carlisle was/is on? And does that explain the delay in Lewishonās āTune In Vol 2: Heaven Is A Place On Earthā?

Please take your seats. Where should we take āem? Well, come on down to Gearheadās Basement for part two of the best tastinā authentic Chi-town deep dish this side of Rocky Rococoās: part two of the UBP takes on Please Please Me! Does T.J. convince Tony that itās one of their top long players? Do Tonyās rock and roll fantasies convince T.J. against more horns? And does the U.K. cassette running order exonerate Dave Dexter a little bit?

Ep. 133 | Please Please Me (1963) 60th Anniversary Part 1
As if there was ever any doubt, one truth was made evident in the fall 2016: Americans are geniuses! Capitol executives in 1963 were no exception, when they passed on the chance to release the first Beatles album. Then, when they finally released it in early ā65 (for roughly the 117th time - thank you, VJ! #FrankIfield), it was shortened and chopped up.
But before 1987, āThe Early Beatlesā was all we had in the U.S. (Anyone who owned an import of āPlease Please Meā did so illegally and should do the right thing and turn themselves in. And since Apple has disowned the VJ releases, you must throw your originals away. #BeatleRules #Calderstone) And in ā87, when the Beatles CDās belatedly appeared, and the original U.K. catalog restored globally, the U.S. finally got their proper debut. A year after āTwist & Shoutā hit the charts thanks to āFerris Buellerā, this amazing debut was back in the cultural zeitgeist.
We could go on and on, but, as David Bowie (no, not the 27 minute Phish tune, pal) once said: This is not America, sha la la la la⦠(#LiveAtTheBBC)
So Scottie Pip Pip and Honey Nut Cheerio, across the pond on a jumbo we go, as Tony and T.J. begin their trademark deep dish (try and replicate the sauce, b wordā¦YA CANāT) on one of the latterās favorite British Beatles records. And along the way, the Gab Two twist and shout themselves into metaphorical McBeans over:
šŖ Did Fred Sanford feign a heart attack (#ElizabethImComin) while eating or listening to The Cookies?
š (Angry Chicago Guy:) HOW COME 'XRT DONāT PLAY NO TIFFANY IS IT CAUSE YOU CANāT SAY A GIRL IS HOT NO MORE? AND HOW COME REINSDORK DONāT SELL THE TEAM?
š Why was the āSeinfeldā where Macca guest stars as Kramerās creepy companion Karl, where they volunteer to be ālaundry peopleā for an all girlās high school volleyball team, pulled from syndication? What is The U trying to hide, exactly?

Ep. 133 | Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band (1990) Part 2
From TV's "All Star Blitz" to the the NBA all star celebrity game (feat. some dude from "Grey's Anatomy"), a collection of rando all-stars usually sucks. But not when left to the devices of our dear Ringo, as evidenced in part two of our deep dish on his first all starr band LP!Along the way, Tony and T.J. ask:
š¦š¤« Is "Shine Silently" to 1989 what "Shine Silently" was to 1979, only double?
š„š„ Speaking of double, If T.J. plays Doubleās āThe Captain Of Her Heartā on the piano for no reason, and Tony doesnāt notice the forgotten '85 yachty deep cut jam, did T.J. even play it? #GetRidOfThePiano #Horrible
š§š© (Angry Chicago Guy:) How come Ringo had a Cardinals shortstop play guitar in his first all starr band? And what ever happened to that big guy, big home run hitter, oh yeah, poo holes? Dat's rite, my friendt, POO HOLES!

Ep. 132 | Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band (1990) Part 1
The Traveling Wilburys were all right, even if they say you're wrong (#JulianLennon). But sometimes you gotta be strong and make the claim that they were only the 2nd best solo Beatle supergroup of the 80's.
#1? Obviously, it's Paul, Linda, and Eric Stewart! Ringo and his first All Starr Band!
Ok maybe that's a stretch. But as the 1990 tour LP & video show, they were a damn fine band, with a strangely cohesive line up of rock legends that Ringo would never again replicate.
This week, the UBP gets really serious (angry fan: "DAT'S VOLUME TOO!") about this great record and also ask:
Did Keef get beef in his teef doing Improv Warmup Wednesdays at Kenny Rogers Roasters?
Is Tony the UBP's Joel Whitburn, which is a sick reference for those of you who are familiar with longtime Billboard chart historian Joel Whitburn?
Was the All Starr Band promoter experienced at novelty concerts, or more of a Fishof out of water?

Ep. 131 | The Beatles Sell Out: The Fab Four in Ads
What makes a "sell out"? Did you sell out? Did Who? How 'bout when? Or sometimes, y? #sometimesand #provtalk
And what about AI? Does it scare you? Is it weird to be scared of a 76'er who retired years ago and hated - I mean, HATED - practice? Not the game! He's talking about practice.
Today's episode considers both related topics. Do commercials with covers or (ahem, sloppily edited) original Beatles music brand our beloved Fabs as sell outs? And what of Beatles AI: awful, or artful?
Along this Journey (#OpenArms), our own cell outs (#AmeritechBell) consider:
š„© Does everybody know your name at Chili's, Applebees, or Rudy Tuesjays?
šŗšø John Lewis remains a beloved, American civil rights hero. Was he also a UK department store?
š“šŖ¦ Is Golden Slumbers best heard as a cover in a TV commercial with the sounds of a large, apparently quite ill animal snoring and I think farting?

Ep. 130 | A Trivial Beatles Podcast - Game 1, Part 2
Arguably, the most famous sitcom episode of the 1990ās was from the syndicated-only āNew WKRP In Cincinnatiā, where station manager Arthur āBig Guyā Carlson challenges rival station WPIG to an on-air poker match. Two problems: 1) poker on the radio? WHUT. And 2) Despite the generational hilarity of its predecessor, āThe New WKRPā su-su-su-su-SUCKED! What were you thinking, Bill Dial?
But you know what doesnāt suck? The Beatles! And especially non-sucking is The Beatles Trivial Pursuit special edition! This week, Tony & T.J. square off and conclude their inaugural game. No spoilers, but a last-minute rule change fixed the result worse than the only actual rigged election in recent memory, the one the Supreme Court handed to GW Bush that began the downfall of America! BUT WE DIGRESS!!!
So girl, get your game play on, and join us as we also ask:
š„§ Whatās the best Prince song: āPurple Pieā, āWhen Doves Pieā, āThe Ballad Of Dorthy Pie-kerā, āRaspberry Pie-retā, or āSexy Mother Fš„§š„§ker (Pie Remix)?ā #RuleOfFives

Ep. 129 | The Beatlesā (Fantasy) Country LP
Tony & T.J. arenāt just Beatles fans. Nah, son. Look at them arms. They country strong. LOOK AT THEM ARMS! GāON, LOOK! NOW TOUCH THEM ARMS. TOUCH THEM. NOW SQUEAL LIKE A PIGā¦
And, like The Beatles, we at the UBP have a deep appreciation for classic Country music. (Western, however can go f**k itself. Got that, āPaint Your Wagonā soundtrack? #DrunkLeeMarvin)
Based on a great episode suggestion from perhaps our youngest listener, Owen (#ThanksO), this week Tony & T.J. assemble their fantasy takes on a Beatles Country album. And while they boot scoot boogie their way thru many Fab country tunes, they also ponder:
ā¾ļø Was Enrico Pallazzo on the legendary, literally-everybody's-heard-of-it, #FantasyRecords?
š CLASSIC PARTY GAME ALERT! Letās play āPair someone from Tears For Fears with one of the Three Stooges!ā

Ep. 128b | Living in the Material World 50th Anniversary Part 2
Letās pick up where we left off! This week, the gents go track-by-track on George Harrisonās most famous Madonna cover, āLiving in the Material World.ā Along the way, we ponder:
šŖ© How does Right Said Fredās āToo Sexyā translate to Latin America?
š“ How might this album be for the benefit of Mr. Specter?
š Itās always a shame⦠is the Genesis track āThatās Allā superior to the album closer āThat is Allāā¦?

Ep. 128 | Living in the Material World 50th Anniversary Part 1
George Harrison holds a special place in the hearts of the Untitled Beatles Podcast, and millions of Beatles fans. As prolific as John and Paul were, and as much as few could lay a beat down like Bernard Purdie, who overdubbed many, if not all, of Ringoās tracks (chew on that, Lewishon), George was arguably the spirit and soul of The Beatles; no little feat. #DixieChicken
Join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of his 1973 blockbuster, āLiving In The Material Worldā. It heightened the spirituality of āAll Things Must Passā, while ditching that albumās sprawl and layers upon layers of production, resulting in a fascinating, beautiful record laden with musical and lyrical juxtapositions.
In part 1 of this Deep Dish, the Material Two, with an assist from Producer Casey and a rather aggressive P3Z-nuts, break down the albumās history, reception, and legacy, and also ask:
š Is Minnie Pearl a Nashville sexpot, or more of a Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap? Now available at participating Manillaland/Northwest Indiana Kenny Rogers Roasters.
š¤ If Whitney Houston is the Beatles of the 80ās, and the Miami Heat Threetles were the Beatles of the 2010's, and Skittles are the 80ās candy equivalent of the 60ās Beatles, are the Miami Heat Threetles to the '10's what the actual Threetles were to the 90ās what the 60ās Beatles were to Skittles in the 80ās? #MeetTheSkittles
